Seyðisfjörður

Seyðisfjörður is a beautiful and cute town in Eastfjords, Iceland. Several times in a week it multiplies it´s 700 inhabitants not just when visitors and tourists come to see it, but foremost when a ferry boat MS Norröna which connects Iceland with continental Europe (and Faroe Islands).

 

How to find and get to Seyðisfjörður:

Seyðisfjörður is 25 kilometers east of Egilsstaðir on the road nr. 93. The road can be tricky and hazardous in bad weather conditions!

From Europe (Denmark – Hirsthals / Faroe Islands –  Tórshavn): Just use the Smyril line. From Denmark it takes 2 days and 3 nights (with 8 hours overstop in Tórshavn – Faroe Islands) or you can take just an overnight ride from Faroe Islands.
